Be My Gnomie Valentine Cookie Decorating Class 02/10/25

Won’t you be my Gnomie, Valentine! Looking for a whimsical Valentine activity? Why not join Sweetflour LLC for this fun cookie decorating class, perfect for beginners and experienced cookiers, alike. This class promises to bring smiles to all as you learn the ins and outs of working with royal icing and its different consistencies as you decorate your very own cute gnome Valentine themed cookies!

The class is going to be roughly 2.5 - 3 hours in length. During class, participants will be given tips on how to bake a beautiful cut-out cookie that doesn't spread and tips on how to make various consistencies of royal icing while learning different decorating techniques as you outline, flood, and detail your own set of the cookies. You will be provided everything needed to decorate your cookies from start to finish along with having detailed guidance on how to decorate your cookies that will make your Valentine smile!

Location: Farmington Community Library 23500 Liberty St, Farmington, MI 48335, Meeting Room

Class Time: 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm

This class will focus on the following decorating techniques:

• sectioning
• wet-on-wet
• tipless piping-work
• 3D dimensional work
• royal icing transfers

Participants will leave class with a basic understanding of cookie decorating, and with the confidence of how to apply these skills to cookies at home!

• 6 Vanilla-Almond Flavored Sugar Cookies
• Royal Icing in Various Consistencies and Colors
• Royal Icing Transfers
• 1 Laminated Practice Sheet
• 1 Boo-Boo Stick
• Photo of finished cookies and step-by-step guide to getting there
• Supply list
• Sugar Cookie and Royal Icing Recipes
• Box to Take Your Cookies Home

Class sizes are limited to 12 participants and may sell out before registration closes. Due to limited seating, only those attendees with a paid registration will be allowed to attend.
